However, we also strive to provide family entertainment such as works from Terry Deary. Our approach is to blend tradition with innovation to create magic on the stage for modern audiences. .

We believe that the arts have a crucial role to play in shaping a better future, and we’re committed to doing our part by reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices in everything we do.

One of the key ways we achieve this is through upcycling. We take pride in giving new life to materials that might otherwise go to waste, transforming them into stunning sets, costumes, and props. This not only reduces our carbon footprint but also sparks creativity and innovation, allowing us to craft unique and environmentally friendly productions.

Our commitment to sustainability also extends to how we operate. We only hire vans when absolutely necessary, and we are actively seeking to transition to electric vehicles for our transportation needs. By minimising our reliance on fossil fuels, we are taking concrete steps towards a greener future.

In addition, we have adapted our rehearsal process to be as sustainable as possible. We often rehearse remotely, using digital platforms to connect with our cast and crew without the need for unnecessary travel. When in-person rehearsals are required, we select locations that are conveniently located near the majority of our cast, reducing travel time and CO2 emissions. We also encourage our team and audiences to use public transport, cycle, or walk to our performances whenever possible.

Beyond these practices, we are continually exploring new ways to reduce our environmental impact. This includes initiatives like sourcing materials locally to cut down on transportation emissions, reducing waste through careful planning and recycling, and incorporating energy-efficient lighting and sound systems into our productions where possible.
